A fantastic flower garden blooms in front of three little houses in the Southwest desert. Do these houses belong to sisters? Best friends? A little family compound? The antique adobe houses were hand-built and have grown crooked with age. Tall chimney pipes sprout from patched rusted tin roofs, and one of the wooden doors is hand-carved. Red chile ristras hang outside in the sun and there are fancy lace curtains peeking from behind thick wooden window sills. Polka dotted hills and hills of golden fields stand in front of deep indigo blue mountains. A couple of butterflies have come to visit, and an orange cat lies on one of the porches.
